Electric Roller Shutter

The ute electric roller cover consists of an aluminium curtain that rolls up into a small canister that is located next to the cabin. The canister is 165mm x 165mm in dual cab Utes, slightly larger in single cab Utes. The curtain is spring-loaded (just like a garage roll-a-door) so that when you unlock the cover it quickly rolls down the tray into the canister. The spring tension can be adjusted according to your requirements.

There is a top-quality flush-mounted lock in the center of the cover at the tailgate end, and when the key is activated, two locking bars slide into either side – making it almost impossible to jimmy open.

The electric roller cover is water-resistant. Water runs to both sides of the Cover and is collected in the channels of the side panels, and then drains away down four drain tubes that are installed internally. There is an inspection hatch at the front of the Cover which can be opened to remove leaves etc that may have “rolled” into the canister. This hatch also allows re-tension of the spring. However, removal of the hatch does not allow access to the load tray – thereby preventing theft from this area.
