With the car scene booming every week in Australia, the whole idea of a car club gets thrown around and can be misleading. A lot of car clubs these days are make and model specific. This is where Velocity Car Club Sydney differs from the rest. Velocity Car Club Sydney started in August 2012 between friends. Since then they have developed into a group of around 340 members and with a range of different styles of cars from turbo charged terrors to V8 powered machines and everything in between.
Velocity Car Club Sydney isn’t just about cars. They have mid-week meet ups for dinner, ice cream and coffee or just to chill. The main focus being to form friendships and make a big family of car enthusiasts who share the same love for cars.
Ben is the main man for the club. Owning a mental R32 GTR, his passion for cars and motorsports really shows in what he does for the club. Holding regular track days and drag days at Wakefield Park in Goulburn and WSID in Sydney. The last Wakefield Park track day saw a huge range of cars including a stock standard Camry. If that doesn’t show that it doesn’t matter what car you have, I don’t know what will. The main focus, keeping racing off the street and in a controlled environment. As well as holding their own events, Velocity Car Club Sydney go to regular meet ups and charity events.
Not only do the great members do there bit for the club but Velocity have their main sponsor, 4mance Automotive, located in Artarmon. These guys have helped Velocity Car Club in many ways and Ben would like to thank Luis and all the team there for all the effort they put in to the club members cars and what they do for the community.
Ben would also like to thank the clubs photographers, Ricky Rigutto Photography, Exposed Media, Full Motion Photography, Slam,Poke,Tuck,Dope and also the guys at Dream Garage Aus.
